The Aftermath
This is a picture taken from our backyard in the morning. We had an icestorm a few days ago and because the air is so cold, we still have ice coating everything. With the sun shining brightly yesterday, the outdoors looked like a crystal wonderland. Even our grass looked like it was carved from crystal...little bits of jewels gleaming on the ground. Jessica wanted to go outside so she could pick 'em and put them in her jewelry box.
This is a picture taken from our backyard at dusk. See the tree in the middle? I've always thought of that tree as being the centerpiece of our yard. The sun lit it like a candelabra.
Don't you wish everything in life was affected so beautifully after a storm?

That is worth any storm!

Beautiful... I wish winter would finally come our way. It has been cold for the past two days and that's it. Otherwise it's been 50-60 since the fall.

Beautiful photos, Shannon.
I'm quite jealous of your backyard view. :-)
And hey, I am VERY behind on everyone's blogs-- just now read of your headache.
That does not sound fun. Not at all.
Hope you're feeling better.

The pictures do not do the scenery justice. I really wish you could all see it in person.
Thanks Sandra. Today I'm feeling pretty dang good, so hopefully it winds up staying that way.

Gorgeous photos :) The camera is never able to quite pick up the exact beauty of things - but those are beautiful photos. I'm also jealous of your back yard. Ours is BARE - I've planted a few trees, two of which dh killed with the lawn mower so hoping the other two survive (men!).
