I agree he's trying to swipe up the Hillary devotees.
It'll be monumental either way I reckon, but with the first option, I'll stay put, and with the second option, I think I might need to find a new country....
Ms. Palin...she seems scared as hell. I think this choice will backfire on McCain. We'd be one heart attack away from someone painfully unqualified to take over the job.
Wow. So it appears to me that what the pro-woman, pro-feminist movement really means is only pro-woman, pro-feminist if they think exactly like you.
I'm equally excited and feel like we can't lose with either result...which is the exact opposite of every other election in my lifetime.
But give me a break - she's held several years of elected office EXECUTIVE positions, and actually accomplished things. Granted I don't know her, but on paper she has spent more of her life in elective office and accomplished more things than Obama has. I'll give you one hand and see if you can count how many times Obama has bucked his own party or been the lead sponsor of any legislation.
Palin has drummed up and kicked out so many corrupt Republicans up there that the Republicans themselves are now investigating her. She raised taxes on Oil Companies and gave the money back through checks in the mail to her constituents. She was in charge of the entire National Guard. She balanced Alaska's budget. She passed new ethics and spending laws. When things like the bridge to nowhere was passed, she declined it.
I thought it was quite unfortunate how Hillary was treated, and it seems those same people are going after Palin in the same way...with even more people piling on now.
If we want more women and minorities to run for office then we need to be debating these people on the issues but not tearing them down and throwing them into the trash. I bet there are a ton of qualified folks who will never think about running exactly because of these reasons.
If you all want to make fun of her, then do it some lighthearted way, like how about we start a naming contest for her first grandchild - how about Rock, Paper, Scissors, Tree, Dirt, etc.

He's just trying to get the Hillary votes, but Ms. Palin seems unqualified and clearly very conservative...
But that's just my opinion ;)
Should be an interesting election...

That's what my husband and I were saying. But nonetheless, it's nice to see something different. I hope reality does slap us too hard, though.

Yeah...well... (Just imagine what Rachel is thinking...)

I knew nothing about her when I wrote this post. I was caught up in the novelty of it.
Rachel, tell us what you're thinking. I'm open to all opinions.
"We'd be one heart attack away from someone painfully unqualified to take over the job."
As I hear more about her, you are quite correct.

I meant reality DOESN'T slap us too hard. We've been slapped hard enough for the past several years, thank you.

OK, back down off my soapbox.
