Ack...Tonight's Hannukah

Jeff asked me what I was going to make for Hannukah tonight.

I told him the traditional fare...Chinese takeout.

We'll celebrate the Festival of Lights by eating Chinese takeout followed by lighting the Menorah and then finishing off the night by decorating our Christmas tree.

Damn, I have to wrap some gifts to give the kids tonight.

Mofo, the festivities have begun.

  • Ha! I can relate--people wished me Happy Chanukah yesterday and today and I was like, "Oy, I forgot it was coming up so fast."

Enjoy the holiday and I'm sure you'll be able to squeeze a latke in over the next eight nights!

  • In regard to your last post - I could use some humour at this end too!!! ARGH! (I'm sick of cleaning up barf). Congrats on cleaning up the house - I just need the energy to do it. Once I get started, there's no stopping me - but it's just getting started that's holding me back (no gumption).

Happy Chanukah, though! I bet the kids are excited to start receiving "the goods" tonight :D I still have another week before doling out the stuff around here. It's creeping up on me way to fast!

  • Happy Hannukah!! Can I ask why it is sometimes Hannukah and other times Chanukah? Just personal preference on how you want to spell it?

  • Erica, I wish I could answer that, but I'm not Jewish :) My husband is the Jew and even HE doesn't know the answer.
