Mom Wants A Diabetes Cure

Snore No More!

Brendon's surgery went off without a hitch. Too bad I can't say the same about his diabetes management. Hospital policy is cumbersome when it comes to the parents taking care of management and the hospital staff overseeing and APPROVING how we test and dose him.

Anyway, I'll fill everyone in at some point this week. For now, it's 8:30 p.m., I've been up since 4 a.m., and I'm about to pass out at the computer.

See ya.

  • Hi Shannon,

Just catching up on blogs after my break. Glad to hear things went well, but I hear you about the diabetes policy. What is it with hospitals? As if it isn't enough having to be there and having surgery, they just have to make diabetes a stress too. Grrr!

Hope Brendon bounces right back, withthe aid of some ice-cream of course!

  • I'm glad everything went well, that's great news!

When O was last in the hospital, they told me to take care of her myself, that I knew more than they did (oh, how comforting) and to just tell them what I'd dosed her. I would have done that anyway and told them to go screw if they'd given me a hard time, though. Sorry they gave you such a hassle, what a pain.

  • I'm happy to hear that everything went good :D Such a relief for all of you that it's all over with, I'm sure.

Hope you got a good sleep - sorry to hear about the hospital giving you grief with the D management *sigh* - I hear that story all too many times.

    Take care :)
