Spent a week in Dennisport last year that was terrific. My relatives have a house in Mashpee (inner Cape) but I'd recommend the outer Cape (Dennisport, Chatham, maybe Yarmouth) more. Day trips to Provincetown, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard are all easier from mid-Cape than the Cape closer to the bridges. Have a terrific time!
The further up the Cape, the better. I stayed in Eastham, two towns from Ptown, and it was nice. Quiet and non-touristy, with a nice beach nearby. Hyannis is nice for the day, but I wouldn't want to stay there.
Oh, the beach. So jealous. I'm vacationing in my back garden this year.
We always stay with friends in Falmouth but we found a great beach in Yarmouth, I think it was called Smuggler's Beach. If you go to WHOI say hi to Coco and LuSeal the rescue seals.
Hey!!! Don't bite too far or you'll just have the most painful legs and then feel really bad. My boyfriend is all into fitness and has told me just to do 1/2 per day then work up to more. I think I'll listen to him on this one.
I'd love to go on my bike now but I've just had a low sugar reading and it's raining cats and dogs. Shame!!!!!
Cape Cod? well anywhere would be great for me, I'd love to visit the USA. but anyways, hope you find a good spot.

Thanks Lyrehca!...I'll research what's available at those places.
Erica, you can definitely come!! You and I would have sooo much fun together (with our senses of humor how could we not).

Thanks for everyone's suggestions!! Lots of food for thought.
I really can't call this a vacation...it's just a long weekend, but I feel better calling it a vacation, LOL.
