I Will No Longer Blog

Nothing, not the Iraq War, Bush's fascist regime, nor China's occupation of Tibet, has moved me to take a stance more than the fact that Brooke White is still on American Idol.

When will the American people wake up and realize they have to stop voting for her in order for her to be booted off the show?!

Every night that she's been on the show has been the last straw for me, but it wasn't until her butchering of Neil Diamond's "I'm a Believer" that the straw finally broke the camel's back.

In protest of her position on American Idol's stage (playing either a guitar or the piano with that sun shiny smile plastered on her face) I refuse to publish another post on my blog until she's finally voted off.

Here is her rendition of "I'm a Believer":

I believe she must be voted off tonight!! VIVE LE VOTE OFF!

  • I've completely given up on watching AI. Paula's antics and Simon's moobs are too much for me anymore.

LOL, I can't get through the video....sorry but she sounds like Cher on testosterone shots. butcher!!!

Neil Diamond is the best, though :)

  • I feel very uncomfortable when Simon's moobs are on display. I wish he would employ a stylist, or how about his girlfriend do some shopping for him for crying out loud.

You missed a good "Paula moment" last night when she commented on the second song sung by the dredlock boy. The only problem was that he hadn't sung the second song yet.

  • Dude. I didn't know you were so full of PASSION!

I haven't watched AI in quite awhile, I have filled my DVR with a plethora of other high quality reality schmuck, however, I feel confident I would be equally outraged!!

I heard something about Paula doing something wacky (kind of like the sun rising in the East) so if you have a clip of that, email it to me. For real.

  • Passion is my middle name...sometimes, LOL.

Here is the Paula moment I was referring to:

(Note: she mentions Top 12, but these are the Top 5 contestants. She was so out of it).

  • Hahaha! I was a Brooke White fan during the audition phase, but seriously America needs to face the facts. Compared to the two Davids, she is nothing! She always looks so uncomfortable and has such strange singing faces, almost Elvis-ish with her lips. Any who tonight may be the night. It's got to be her or Jason Castro, who I love (just for the hotness factor not for his singing talents), because he's just given up. He really belongs in a cafe or on a street corner not the Idol stage. Rant over.

  • I agree about Jason (he really does belong in a cafe, LOL). Jeff and I are convinced he's high on ganga. He doesn't want to work hard for the sake of his crap...excuse me...craft.

  • Okay, Now I'm a "buh-leever."
This show sucks and she needs to stop.

  • and THAT is why DVR (or TiVo) is a lifesaver.

(ex. Fast forwarding to Archuletta and Cook)

  • I shall momentarily channel my inner Simon in one of his better moments to say it sounds like a bad karaoke-night rendition of this song. I know I could sing this girl out of the water, and I'm sure the AI judges would classify my voice as "average". This girl MAY be more irritating than Sanjaya, and I thought that would be hard to top! The moment I watched Sanjaya absolutely ruin "Bathwater" by No Doubt, which is a song that I love, I just kind of stopped trying to watch AI.

Ugh, I would vote this girl off just to save your sanity and save America from thinking this is somehow a good, talented singer.

  • know what it is - it's the VoteFortheWorst crew keeping her alive. I suspect she's going to go tonight, or next week. They only can keep her in it so long.

I hope tonight because the blog world cannot be shannon less..

  • I hope for your sake she gets voted off - or should I say my sake cause I need my shannon fix!

I don't watch AI or CI for that matter. But here's hoping the most talented person wins this round :)

  • How's about instead of no longer blogging until the 'chick whose lacking pipes gets voted off", you just no longer watch American Idol.
The world could due with one less reality show. However, dBlogville needs to read your blog daily!

  • I don't watch Australian Idol, let alone American Idol, so I've not seen her before. I'm not impressed...

What did Simon have to say about that lacklustre performance?
