Congress Passes Stem Cell Research Bill
Read it here. And then realize that Bush plans to veto the bill.
"If this bill were to become law, American taxpayers would for the first time in our history be compelled to support the deliberate destruction of human embryos," he said in a statement in Germany, where he was attending a summit of world leaders.
I suppose he'd rather have a 7 year old boy hate him instead:
We were watching the Democratic Presidential debate Sunday night (mainly because the woman taking questions from the audience is our neighbor and our kids play together, so we wanted to witness fame because we're shallow like that).
I was explaining the process of debate and why it's important to hear what each candidate has to say so that we can make an informed decision when it's time to vote (I'm so not serious about politics, but I needed to sound like a responsible parent for chrissakes).
So anyway, Brendon told me to make sure I vote for whoever wants stem cell research.
And then he said in a low and deliberate voice:
"I hate President Bush."
"Why do you hate him?"
He gave me a sideways glance, and in the same tone said, "Because he won't let scientists help people and find a cure for diabetes."
Yeah, President Bush, nice legacy to leave behind.

Dubya not popular in my household either. Amazing irony that he applies his own beliefs and morality on the rest of the country whether we like it or not. Sounds a lot like the Taliban.

I agree with you, I don't care for the politics of the BUSH goverment either.
But hate is a big word.
Even as angry as I am that we are in war that we created, I beleive hate is what leads us not to listen.
and even though we might not agree with certain things about people, nobody is all bad.

I hate him too, with a passion. S.5 is only asking for discarded embryos from in vitro fertilization clinics that (1) are NOT capable of producing life (2) are about to be discarded into medical waste. THESE EMBRYOS HAVE ALREADY BEEN CREATED AND ARE GOING TO BE DESTROYED ANYWAY! Instead of allowing these embryos, already slated for destruction, to be used for scientific research Bush and many of our politicians, for strictly political reasons, are saying our kid's lives are not worth TRASH! They are chosing the GARBAGE PAIL over our kid's and scientific research. I am in the process of retyping two lists: (1) ALL the members of the Senate who voted NO for S.5 and (2) ALL the members of the House of Representatives who voted NO on S.5. WE NEED TO REMEMBER THESE POLITICIANS AT ELECTION TIME. THEIR NAMES AND VOTES NEED TO BE VISIBLE ON EVERY DIABETIC BLOG, ON EVERY PARKINSON'S BLOG, A.L.S. ALZHEIMER'S BLOG. WE DESPERATELY NEED TO GET TO THE POLLS TO VOTE OUT, NOT JUST THE PRESIDENT, BUT OUR "REPRESENTATIVES" WHO ARE TELLING THESE KIDS AND A LOT MORE PEOPLE WITH FAR MORE SERIOUS ILLNESSES AND A LOT LESS TIME THAN OUR KIDS HAVE TO "DROP DEAD." When the lists are compiled, I will post here and whereever is deemed feasible. I am working on the full list for the House, have the Senate's.

Her neck muscles have weakened to the point that she can’t hold her head up and the left side of her body is weaker than the right , the doctors told me all her muscles were dead, she was able to eat via a machine because she could not swallow anything. I searches and tried different neurologist and different medicines none worked and i was so scared to lose my wife. While running up and down seeking for a solution i met my friend from third grade saw me all worked up, we got talking and in the process of discussion i told him all i am facing. He felt sad and told me about Dr. Hassan who was able to cure his cousin. I was interested and he gave me his contact. I contacted him and he came down to where my wife was and started to treat her with his medicine and in a space 3 weeks she was up on her feet again and in 4 week she recovered fully.
